Interactive Games for Dogs

Dog Puzzles and games, oh my!

So how do you keep your dog busy?

Interactive Games for Dogs is your answer.  Just like humans, dogs can get bored too!  Not only do dogs need physical stimulation, they also need mental stimulation. Maybe it is time to stimulate them with a Nina Ottosson game.

Who is Nina Ottosson?

Nina started her company almost 20 years ago and named it Zoo Active Products.

The company’s focus is development and design of dog-activating toys and games for dogs as well as, dog-owners to mentally activate the dog in a positive and educational manner. The activity toys are very much appreciated and are used by dogs and other animals and their owners in many countries. Dog psychologists, veterinaries, dog-trainers and other dog-owners highly recommend these interactive dog toys. Today, the company works with product development, design, manufacturing, sales and distribution to retailers in different countries. Nina Ottosson and Hans Molin run the company together with their employees. Nina Ottosson’s  interactive dog games have been designed to stimulate the pet and allow them to positively interact with the pet owner.

These interactive games are like puzzles and have varying degrees of difficulty that you can increase over time to continue to mentally challenge your dog.

These toys are “interactive” and meant for you to participate with your dog, you may need to help them in the beginning, but in no time they will be able to solve it on their own.  Supervision is recommended.

Food is always a number one motivator for dogs and treats are placed within the game or puzzle and is the ultimate reward for our furry friends.

Another great idea for these toys are the dog who gulps all their food down in a few seconds.  You can use one of Nina’s puzzles to put their food in and slow them down.

When our Scottie was a puppy, he had a bit of attention deficit disorder and would rather play then eat.  Similair to a child, I guess.  But, because he lived in a multiple dog household it was important to get him to eat or the other one would eat his food.  We used one of Nina’a puzzle games to put his kibble in.  This did the trick.  It was so much more fun for him to eat his food this way!

Don’t be fooled!

There are many knockoffs available in the market today.  These games are not as challenging as Nina’s nor do they hold up to the very well.

We have purchased others before learning about Nina Ottosson’s Games and were very disappointed in the quality of the materials used.  We found that they would break or were easily chewed and destroyed within a minute or so.

Also, these toys are not only for Dogs.  Cats love these puzzle too!  And trust me they figure it all out very fast.

Do you have a ‘Forrest Gump’ or an ‘Albert Einstein?

Well, don’t worry there is a Nina Ottosson game designed for every type of dog.

Nina Ottosson has several games in her line up and they all seem to be quite good.
